The Twin Valley Youth Field Hockey Club was created with the intent to promote the sport of field hockey to youth girls in a competitive, fun, and safe environment where they can learn the basic essentials of the sport.
We aim to provide an opportunity to build skills in sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership while participating in a competitive athletic environment.
Registration for the Fall season will open in May.
Discounted early bird registration pricing through end of May, normal registration pricing throughout the month of June and Late fee registration in early July.
Objectives & Expected Level Of Play By Division
1st / 2nd Grade
Players will learn basic skills & be introduced to field hockey in a fun environment!
- One hour practice, twice a week
- 5v5 fun game play opportunities
- Developmental skill focused
- No experience necessary
3rd / 4th Grade (Juniors)
Players will continue to learn & improve basic skills & incorporate them in a game settings
- One & half hour practice, twice a week
- 6v6 game play opportunities
- Continue to develop basic skills
- Learn play in team setting (positioning, passing, etc.)
- No experience necessary
5th / 6th Grade (Seniors)
Players will continue to improve & learn new skills/techniques & begin preparation of Middle School play
- Two hour practice, twice a week
- 6v6 & 11v11 game play opportunities
- Fine tune basic skills while learning new ones
- Continue to improve game play awareness (positioning, passing, etc.)
- No experience necessary
